Difference Between Convex & Dome Safety Mirrors
Whilst similar, dome and convex safety mirrors have different shapes, properties and purposes. The main difference is dome mirrors create a wider but much narrower field of view, which is ideal for internal uses such as hospital hallways. This is in contrast to convex mirrors, which reflect a narrow field of view, but far larger to enhance vision over distance. This is ideal for car parks, or roads, the same concept is also used in your cars wing mirrors.
Types of Dome Safety Mirrors
Dome safety mirrors come in a range of different sizes and shapes, with shape being critical to installation location and size for the viewing distance. Shape Types:

Full Dome Mirrors – Creates a 360-degree field of view, usually used on ceilings or 4 way intersections by reflecting full circle.

Half Dome Mirrors – A 180-degree view, which again is commonly used on ceilings (depending on the room) or 3 way interections.

Quarter Dome Mirrors – A 90-degree view which is typically installed in the corner where celing and wall meets, ideal for placements with little space available.
